The U17(1) boys had a great win against BC Taurus tonight at Coláiste Íde.

With Coach Conroy Baltimore away, the game tipped under the coaching prowess of Tom Kenny who kindly agreed to hold the reins tonight. With only 8 players on the scoresheet the 17s faced a full bench of Dan Russell’s men, so this was a huge challenge before the game even started.

From 18 points down at the end of the second quarter, our 17s won the 3rd and 4th to draw the game 53/53. After one period of extra time, the final score was Tolka Rovers 63 BC Taurus 59.

The BC Taurus 17s is a strong team of disciplined basketballers and our 17s rose to the challenge presented to them - the TR supporters had a great night!

Every man on the scoresheet had a good game and pushed for the result which was a hats off team comeback of epic proportions.

Well done lads! What a way to end the year.
