TOLKA ROVERS BASKETBALL - NATIONAL SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT
Tolka Rovers Basketball Club announces sponsorship renewal with MOY and new community partnership with Teac Tom
Tolka Rovers, one of Ireland’s leading community-based basketball clubs, is proud to confirm the renewal of its principal sponsorship agreement with MOY for the 2026/27 National League season.
In addition, Tolka Rovers is delighted to welcome Teac Tom as its official Community Partner. Teac Tom is a highly respected community organisation that provides affordable and immediate mental health support and awareness. The organisation brings a powerful social purpose that aligns closely with the shared values of both Tolka Rovers and MOY: inclusion, support and wellbeing.
In a first for basketball, the Teac Tom name and logo will feature on both our men’s and women’s National League away kits for the 2026/27 season, helping to raise awareness of mental health support among players, supporters and communities.
The renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment from MOY and Tolka Rovers Basketball Club to supporting young people, strengthening communities and promoting personal development through sport. MOY’s continued support will help the club build on its recent successes, both on and off the court, while continuing to provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
With preparations underway for the upcoming National League season, these partnerships represent more than financial backing for Tolka Rovers Basketball Club; they reflect a belief in the important role sport can play in fostering resilience, creating personal and social connections and developing life skills.
“We are thrilled to have MOY with us for another year. Their support has been central to our progress both on and off the court,” said Paul Hannigan, Club Secretary. “Welcoming Teac Tom as our Community Partner adds a very important dimension to our club. Mental health affects every team and every family in our community. Through this partnership, we hope to encourage open conversations, increase awareness of available support and help remove the stigma that can still surround mental wellbeing.”
Throughout the season, Tolka Rovers Basketball Club will collaborate with both MOY and Teac Tom to deliver mental health workshops, awareness campaigns and community events. Players from both the men’s and women’s squads will participate in initiatives designed to encourage open dialogue, highlight the supports that are available and promote the importance of looking after one’s mental wellbeing.
“I’ve always believed in supporting our community and the organisations that make a real difference. That’s why MOY is proud to support Tolka Rovers Basketball Club. Sport gave me so much in my younger years; it played a huge role in my mental wellbeing, gave me a sense of belonging and taught me invaluable life skills about teamwork that I still carry with me today.”
“I’m also proud to be an ambassador for Teac Tom, working closely with them to help raise awareness of the vital services they provide. The goal is to use every opportunity to increase awareness and give greater exposure to the incredible work they do, at no cost to the organisation, because the support they provide is invaluable to communities across Ireland and beyond.”
“We’re incredibly grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to partner with Tolka Rovers Basketball Club and MOY on this important initiative. Seeing organisations come together to champion mental health sends a powerful message: nobody should have to struggle alone, and it’s okay to ask for help.
